Hometown Banking @ Home

I. Introduction

This Internet Banking Access Agreement for accessing your personal accounts via PB&T Hometown Banking @ Home explains the terms and conditions which govern Account Inquiries & Account Transfers.

By using the online financial services provided by PB&T, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this agreement. This agreement will be governed by all applicable federal laws and regulations. In the event that no federal law applies, the agreement will be governed by laws and regulations effective in the State of Georgia without regard to conflicts of law principles.

The term “business day” refers to every day except Saturday, Sunday and Federal Banking Holidays

II. Accessing Your Accounts

In order to activate your Internet Banking Service (Hometown Banking @ Home), you must have at least one account with PB&T.

As a customer of PB&T, you may access your accounts by selecting and using an online password (PIN). You should keep your PIN in a secure location. Any person having access to your PB&T PIN will be able to access the Internet Banking Services and perform all transactions, including reviewing account information and making transfers to other accounts which have mutual ownership.You will be issued a password that will allow you to log on to Hometown Banking @ Home. The first time you log into the online system, you will be required to change the assigned password and choose a Alpha or Numeric password known only to you. The password must be at least nine (9) characters and no more than seventeen (17) characters with one numeric character required. The password can be changed through Hometown Banking @ Home by the user at any time, and occasional password changes are recommended. You agree that the password initially issued to you by the bank, or any password chosen by you thereafter, is a commercially reasonable security procedure for allowing access to your account, and you agree to be bound by any transactions engaged in by the use of that security procedure that are accepted by the bank in accordance with that security procedure.

There are no monthly fees for viewing these accounts or for transferring funds between accounts.

III. Terms and Conditions

The first time you access any of your accounts through Hometown Banking @ Home, you confirm your agreement to abide by all the terms and conditions of this Online Agreement, and acknowledge your receipt and understanding of this disclosure.

IV. Fees and Charges

Hometown Banking @ Home reserves the right to cancel your online service at any time without notice due to insufficient funds in one or more of your accounts. After cancellation, service may be reinstated at the discretion of the bank provided that funds are available to cover the cost of any fees and/or pending transfers. To reinstate your service, contact PB&T at 770-932-1900.

If you do not access your accounts via Hometown Banking @ home for any three month period, PB&T reserves the right to disconnect your service.You agree to be responsible for any telephone or data charges which you incur by accessing your accounts via Hometown Banking @ Home.

If you wish to cancel any of your Hometown Banking @ Home services, please contact PB&T at 770-932-1900 or send us cancellation instructions in writing to PB&T,1899 Buford Highway, Buford, GA 30518 or e-mail us at helpdesk@peoplesbanktrust.com.

V. Hours of Accessibility

You may access PB&T online seven days a week, 24 hours per day, subject to periodic system maintenance or other unforeseen circumstances.  PB&T is not liable for failure to provide access due to maintenance, system failure, or other unforeseen events.  PB&T will endeavor to limit scheduled system maintenance to hours during which system traffic is normally at a minimum, but PB&T cannot guarantee that system maintenance will not interfere with your ability to access the online system.  If the system is unavailable, you may use the automated telephone voice response system (Telebanc), our ATM machine, or any office to conduct your transactions.

VI. Miscellaneous

Balance Information – You may access any eligible PB&T bank account on which you are an owner to receive transaction history and balance information.  The balance or recent activity provided may include deposits still subject to verification by PB&T. Also, the balance or recent activity provided may differ from your records because it may not include deposits in process, outstanding checks, or other withdrawals, payments, charges or transactions. In progress returns due to non-sufficient funds or stop payments may not be reflected in the inquiry.
